Dermalux LED Phototherapy Frequently Asked Questions
-
Phototherapy, meaning “treatment with light,” uses low-level light energy to stimulate the skin’s natural biological processes. Through photobiomodulation, light is absorbed and converted into cellular energy, enhancing skin function at a deeper level.
LED phototherapy is clinically proven to deliver regenerative and anti-inflammatory benefits without causing trauma, making it safe, comfortable, and suitable for all skin types. Targeted wavelengths of visible and near-infrared light activate key cell receptors, boosting cell renewal, strengthening the skin, and restoring a healthy, radiant complexion.
This non-invasive treatment works in harmony with the skin, supporting repair and correction without downtime, making it an advanced alternative to more aggressive procedures.
-
For results to be effective, precise wavelengths must be delivered at the correct intensity to target chromophores within the skin. This ensures optimal cellular response and visible, long-lasting improvements.
-
There are many LED devices on the market, but the Dermalux Flex MD stands apart as a medical-grade, FDA-approved system using clinically proven wavelengths, including near infra-red, delivered at the correct intensity to stimulate real cellular change.
Other devices use the same light colours but not the same depth of wavelength. This device is clinically proven to penetrate deeper to target cells enhancing repair, and visible results, far beyond what lower-powered or incorrect wavelength devices can achieve.
-
For optimum results, treatments are pre-set to a 30 minute duration.
When combined with our skin treatments our recommended treatment time is 20 minutes.
Many client’s notice a difference after 1 single use, this is depended on skin types and conditions. We will create you a treatment plan during your consultation and skin analysis.
