MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

PRO SKIN 90 | BODY SCULPT

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic treatment designed to support the body’s natural lymphatic system.

Benefits of this massage include helping to reduce puffiness, swelling and fluid retention, support healthy circulation and lymphatic function, improve the appearance of cellulite, and leave the face and body feeling lighter and more defined.

MLD can also support recovery following certain aesthetic treatments, medical procedures and surgery, helping to manage swelling and bruising, support tissue repair and healing, and improve the appearance of scarring.

Its slow, soothing movements also encourage deep relaxation, helping to ease tension and support overall wellbeing

Please note: Following certain medical procedures or surgery, clearance from your surgeon, physician or GP may be required before treatment can be carried out.

PRE TREATMENT ADVICE:

  • Stay well hydrated, drink plenty of water in the 24 hours before treatment.

  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before treatment.

  • Limit caffeine on the day of treatment, where possible.

  • Avoid a heavy meal immediately before treatment, opt for a light meal or snack instead.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise immediately before your appointment.

  • Avoid sunbed use and excessive sun exposure prior to treatment. Sunburnt skin cannot be treated.

  • Avoid applying fake tan before your appointment, as massage techniques may cause the tan to become uneven or transfer during treatment.

  • Wear comfortable underwear as the treatment may include lymphatic drainage techniques around the chest/breast and gluteal areas. You will remain covered throughout; however, you may wish to wear underwear that you feel comfortable being treated in.

  • Do not attend if you are acutely unwell or have signs of infection such as fever.
